Since Kerrville Pets Alive’s Formation in 2019, the cats in Kerr County have suffered many challenges. During that time, the majority of the cats that were impounded at Kerr County Animal Services were euthanized after 72 business hours. Many were cats that had been abandoned and found their way to porches looking for food. They were a victim of their circumstances. We called these cats the cats in the dark. No one ever saw them and they simply disappeared.
KPA! worked with Kerr County officials to give these cats a chance at life. We were given access to the cats to evaluate and socialize them so that that we could find them homes or adopt them out as barn cats. We also funded their vaccines and spay/neuter surgeries.
As the result of our efforts, thousands of cats have been saved. The Vintage Edition will honor of all the cats and dogs who used to be in the dark and now see the light. We hope this event raises awareness and funds to support our continued efforts. Thank you for considering attendance or sponsorship of the 2026 Fur Ball.
